Taxis can be recognized by their yellow colour. There is only one single rule you have to follow if you like to have a taxi drive: fix the price for the desired distance before or pay attention that the drive starts the trip recorder.

The base rate for one kilometre within the city is approximately 1.77 YTL. For crossing the Bosporus Bridge you have to pay a fee which is not included in the taxi fee. For ordering a taxi contact the staff in the hotel where you are staying or just stop a taxi on the street. A taxi from the inner city center to the two airports costs approximately 45-50 Euro.
