Airports and Airlines

There are two airports in the Istanbul district the Istanbul Atatürk airport and the Sabiha Gökcen airport. The Atatürk airport ( Havalimani) is located in Yesilköy on Istanbul`s European side and is the major international airport in whole Turkey. From and to the airport there is a organized shuttle service to Istanbul which operates from 4:00 to 24:00 every hour. The shuttle bus (havas) stops in Havas Kozyatagi. From here you can switch to the public transport. Costs for the shuttle service 20-30 Euro.

When you leave the airport building you will be overrun by hudnerts of taxi drivers all offering a shuttle to Istanbul city. Principally nothing speaks against this options but as mentioned before fix first the price before sitting down in the Taxi. The Ataturk airport offers a up to date price table for a taxi shuttle to the different parts of Istanbul (http://www.ataturkairport.com/de/2.php).
The cheapest way to reach Istanbul center from the Atatürk airport is using the metro. However the metro is only going up to Esenler where you have to change to an other public transport. For information on departing and landing flights and other enquiries you can contact Phone +90 212 465 5555
