Mihriamah sultan complex
The Mihriamah sultan complex can be visited in Üsküdar and is again a artwork of the famous architect Sinan. It was built for the daughter Mihrimah Sultan of Suleyman the Magnificent in 1548. As it is located on one hill overseeing the city is a fixed part of Istanbul`s appearance. GOOGLE ADSENSE
The complex besides the mosque contains a university, a bath, a primary school, a guest house, and two fountains. The guest house had 8 rooms and additionally includes a caravanserai. Some of he facilities are no more in use and were replaced by a health center. A special element of mosque is a sun dial from 1769. It was buit by the Dervish Gaybî Muhyiddin. Ali Pasa , the son-in-law of Mihrimah has also been buried in the complex.
