Dolmabahce mosque
The Dolmabahce Mosque is located in the south of Dolmabahce Palace. Sultan Abdülmecit began to modernize the Ottoman empire and to introduce more and more the western style of architecture. The mosque was completed in 1855 by the famous architect Garabet Balyan. The mosque is an example for the neo-classical epoch and is especially rich in ornament and rococo influence..
