Beylerbeyi Mosque
The mosque is located at the Asian Istanbul side close to the sea. Of course the Beylerbeyi mosque is known but it is not so popular as is the fountain in front of it. The mosque is connected with the Beylerbeyi Palace which you will discover from the Bosporus Bridge.

You should combine a visit of the Palace with a walk through the mosque. However only guided tours are allowed. The baroque mosque was built by Sultan Abdülhamid I for the memory of his mother Rabia Sultan by the architect Tahir Aga. In the direct neighbour hood of the mosque you will also find Yalis, the typical wooden houses.
