The best time to visit Istanbul is spring or autumn. The temperature is between 16-20°C – what is perfect for walking around and you can also enjoy a coffee or tea in the sun. Also a consideration worth is weather you would like to stay only some days as short trip or long weekend in Istanbul or you prefer to take you more time to discover the ancient metropolis. My tip is to combine a visit to Istanbul with some days at one of Turkey`s wonderful coasts. Kemer, Bodrum, Alanya and Antalya are some of the most favorite places where you you can get some relaxation after all the impressions you will get during your stay in Istanbul. There are good daily connections from both Istanbul airports to the coast regions and especially the airlines sun express or Turkish airlines offer cheap inland flights.
